Even though rain was expected, Chef Sabie and friends experienced only good food and laughs last Sunday. The cool breeze and festive spirit created a perfect atmosphere for some interesting conversations as well as some exquisite meals.
1st Course – Salmon with Quinoa salad with peas, spring onion, herby dressing
This delicate meal was served with the freshest salmon that was seared to perfection. The salmon was laid gently on a vibrant quinoa salad infused with peas and spring onion. The meal was then topped with a herby dressing.
While the next course was being dished, the guests were able to talk about news, old childhood memories as well as the interesting cakes and desserts Chef Sabie can create.
2nd Course – Short rib, fondant potatoes, seasonal veg, butternut purée
Chef Sabie then provided guests will a delicious short rib, along with crispy fondant potatoes, seasonal vegetables. This was pulled together by a butternut purée.
Sabie always takes pleasure in her meals, no matter what the occasion.
Dessert: Malva pudding and vanilla ice cream / Chocolate brownie and vanilla ice cream / Vanilla panna cotta, strawberry coulis, coconut crumb
When it comes to desserts, Chef Sabie is no stranger to baking and indulgent dishes. With a few options to choose from, the guests were very impressed with the variety on offer. Even though these options are rare to find all in one place, Chef Sabie was able to whip them all up in no time.
