What is life if not to experience being fully present and alive?
I think the fact that I majored in Psychology prior to bringing my culinary career to life helped me understand that food, essentially, is about bringing the best out in people. If you can make someone feel fully alive and present then you’ve served the perfect dish in the perfect setting.
Over the years I realised that a typical commercial fast paced kitchen would not allow me to create the magic I wanted in the kitchen which is why, in 2018, I founded Chefs@85. I wanted to recreate the magic of my childhood and rekindle those same feelings of presence, connection and joy in an intimate space for others. The setting allows people to experience delicious, intimately crafted fine dining in an exclusive environment.
